Export Standards and shipment
After harvest, our
flowers are 100% inspected, processed ad packaged in a standard that meets
international guidelines. The stems are 1/3 de-leafed by standard and for
Russian markets the flowers are shipped without de-leafing. Most of the flowers
are packed in bunches of 20 stems with outer later 5-7 cm more than the size
indicated (eg., 60cm will be 60 to 65 cm min).
For shipping flowers are packed in 20cm x 40cm x 100 cm Standard 5play
corrugated boxes as per
international standard. Each box would contain 360
to 400 stems based on the stem length.
Best Markets for Indian Roses
The best market for
Indian roses for the past decade has been Japan. However there are also
interesting markets in UK, Italy, Germany and Australia. Smaller markets like
UAE, the new European Union member nations, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand
also offer a few options. “Price realization depends on quality, region and
time of the year the roses are grown,” says Dr. Rao.
